Thought you couldn’t hate Obama any more than you already do? This is absolutely absurd. Just the mere fact that he would ask (order) a Marine to do this shows he has no concept of respect. Think this is photoshopped? I got it from the CNN website. It’s completely true. Do a web search and you’ll see multiple sources. This President is absolutely worthless.
Title ten of the Armed Forces US Code says that members of the military do what is asked of them by their Commander in Chief. The man next to them is the Prime Minister of Hungary. It would be bad show to let the rain fall on the head of a visiting diplomat, and any Marine on Presidential duty is honored to be there. This is not about the umbrellas, it is about treating visiting dignitaries with honor and respect. To only have an umbrella over the head of Prime Minister Orban would be a sign of superiority or strength over the visiting PM. The president did the correct thing in the situation by showing enough respect for his fellow leader and giving them both an equal platform.
Y’all need to stop freaking the fuck out over stupid shit like umbrellas.
pls.
also he didn’t think he even needed the umbrella, thus resulting in this picture of him checking if it was even raining even more aka my favorite picture of him ever:
Speaking as the son of a former Army officer, OP’s post is even more disrespectful towards the Marine in the photo - and the US military in general - than it is towards the President. It shows that literally the only part of being in the military OP has respect for is the part that involves killing others and that is not the biggest part of the military by a long shot and is not the part of military service most members joined for. People join the military to serve the nation, and part of that is stuff like this. There is a reason active duty military do not and are not supposed to discuss their opinions of a President during that President’s term. The President is the Commander in Chief regardless of who they actually are. Republican, Democrat, third party, no longer existent party: it does not matter. Being art of the White House guard and the Presidential detail, especially when a foreign dignitary or leader is present, is one of the biggest honors in the military.
But it’s a fucking umbrella, so complaining about it in the first place is massively moronic.

All of this presupposes that there is only one right way to look like and be a woman. And it’s infuriating. On the one hand, whenever I go out in public or post pictures online, a part of me is deathly afraid that I’ll be insulted or worse. I desperately want to be accepted as the woman I am. On the other hand, I hate that in order to feel safe, I’m expected to fit into the very narrow box that is labeled “woman.” Tips on how to pass always seem to say that you should avoid building muscle mass and avoid wearing clothes and makeup that are too costumey, that you should try to hide your shoulders and soften your features. Trans women are often told that if we want to pass, we have to try our hardest to be petite, soft, have just the right amount of femininity, and not stand out too much. But what if I want to be a different kind of woman? What if I want to look like Grace Jones or Kate Moennig? What if I want to look like Beth Ditto or Dolly Parton? They’re all cis women; don’t they pass?

The moral of “passing” discussions always seems to be:
If you get bashed it will be your fault.

Okay so I followed this video about foreshortening and…
Sycra. I love you so much for making this video.
YOU GOTTA BE FUCKING SHITTING ME
More tips:
- The closest I could find on Amazon to the watercolour set I use is the Sakura brand of Koi Assorted WaterColours Field Set.
- Just use any old toothbrush. I used to use the ones that my dentist would give me after a visit, just because those were kind of cheap and I wouldn’t actually use them anyways.
- I use acrylic for flicking and highlights because watercolour-whites tend to fade when they dry.
- Also, remember to keep your hands clean, because nothing’s worse than smudging graphite into your watercolours and then unable to get it out.
- Try to avoid black and white when possible. They tend to dull the colours and it loses that watercolouring lustre.
Since I started watercolouring again for my daily sketches, I’ve gotten a lot of asks/dA notes on if I could give a tutorial on watercolouring and also more specific questions that overlapped each other, so I decided to do a semi guide/tips/answering thing.
I actually started watercolouring before I went into digital medium, so I have a bit of personal experience, but I am essentially self-taught when it comes to watercolouring since there weren’t a lot of watercolour tutorials online back then to begin with, so I cannot promise that these are the absolute correct way of doing things.
Hope it helps anyways :)

These awesome photos, in which rolling waves appear to be both perfectly frozen in time and miraculously made solid, are the work of French photographer Pierre Carreau.
Carreau “shoots waves with a variety of high speed cameras using various macro and wide angle lenses, capturing water shapes that appear more sculptural than liquid.”
Visit his Pierre Carreau’s website to view many more examples of his amazing work. He also offers prints of some of his images via Clic Gallery.
